It’s of-fish-ally 2021!

Drawing empowers me with confidence. It is a reminder that I have the freedom to channel my creative side, whilst expressing my inner thoughts and feelings. It provides a sense of accomplishment every time I complete a new piece – for me, this is the moment when the thoughts in my mind fit together perfectly, like the pieces of a puzzle. Through my art, I can show people a different perspective of the world and know that I have contributed to a persons day, whether it be through a passing glance, a read of my post or a comment on my work.

What I love most is how impactful art can be for different people. Art speaks to anyone, at any level – it overcomes language barriers and can be interpreted by those who struggle to comprehend words. I would be lying to myself if I didn’t acknowledge that art is for the people. It’s the wonderful comments on my blog that motivate and inspire me to keep on creating content.

Happy New Year to everyone, thank you for your continued support on this blog and may 2021 provide some much needed light and happiness💫✨

  1. Hannah your stuff is great -always inspirational to look at. I’m copying your blog link to my daughter who when younger drew stuff that was absolutely magical -not dissimilar in style to you, in the hope she will draw again!

    1. Oh wow, thank you so much! That has really made my day. I hope that it inspires her to pick up drawing again…I didn’t do art for a good 10 years and you’ll be surprised how little you forget! Happy New Year to you 🙂

      1. Well it’s only been one day- So far I have not caught a finger in a door or banged my head. Nor have I cut myself shaving. If I can make it safely to bed tonight, we might call it a good start… 🤣
        Be good.

  2. I love your drawings, they are happy and colourful. I hope you keep drawing. My mother enjoyed her drawing and painting throughout her life and the cards and drawings she shared with family and friends are special keepsakes. I believe your drawings would be appreciated exactly the same by those who love you.

    1. Thank you ever so much for the encouraging words, it motivates me to keep going! I’m glad that your mother’s drawings were special keepsakes, there is something precious about receiving a piece of artwork. Currently, my canvass prints have a place on the walls in my house and I am working on an art journal that I can keep to look back through all of my work. I hope that you have a lovely day 🙂

      1. Absolutely! If my art improves then I can look back at my journey…and if not, it will be like my portfolio of work. Either way, it’s such a great thing to hold onto 😃

  5. This is awesome! And I know what you mean at the beginning. The expression of any form of art, really, is the only time life makes sense for many of us. And although I don’t draw, writing or playing guitar gives me the same feeling. Happy New Year, Hannah 😊

  8. Happy New year 🎊💖 and I love that art style! What’s it called? I attended an art workshop once…at school. The art form taught was I think…as far as I remember 😅 “zen-tangle” or something like that😅😅. This looks like that. But I am not an expert…so please excuse me😅

    1. Happy New Year to you too! Thank you for sharing your thoughts ~ I didn’t study art for long at school, but I think that you’re right in assuming the pattern work is zentangles/geometric patterns. The sea reminds me of mosaics, the way the patterns fit together. I hope this helps and that you have a lovely day ❤️❤️
