Hey, I’m Hannah. I am a self-taught artist and this is my page.
I discovered my interest in art from a young age – I was lucky to have a primary school teacher with a passion for art, who helped me discover my talent. I harnessed many of my basic techniques from her. One of her sayings stuck with me; “Art is like a seed…once you discover your talent, you can only develop from there, by watering that seed and practising in order to grow”.
Contrary to that advice, I didn’t practice art after the age of 14. In fact, I haven’t practiced in 10 years (whoops!).
Unlike many, art wasn’t something that I studied at school – I actually have a completely unrelated background – but art is something that I have always enjoyed and is my creative outlet.
During the lockdown of 2020, I finally found the time to re-immerse myself in art. I knew that if I was to take the time to get back into art, I wanted to go “all out” with a show-stopping display piece. I was pleasantly surprised with how little I had forgotten and how it almost felt natural to me.
Now that I have found the time, I am ready to show the world my creations. I know that my journey is only at the beginning and that I still have a long way to go, but I hope to share the pieces of my journey with you here on this blog.
